I injured my right foot in the arch somehow this past week. I am not sure what caused the issue but decided I would give it a rest. That meant this week’s long run was going to be a long bike ride.
I was not very concerned about missing the mileage as I prepared for the Air Force Marathon. I had done a 14 mile training run last Saturday and this was originally only going to be a 12 mile long run on the Hal Higdon Novice 2 training plan I am using. I did some online research and found the best idea was the same tie at the same intensity. It went well. Much to my surprise it became a 27 mile ride.
