Taji 100 2022

I wasn’t initially going to participate in Team RWB’s Taji 100 this year. Then I realized that I did 72 miles in January. That means the 100 miles for the challenge were actually within reasomln

I will stick to my plan and will do what I do. That said, it isn’t totally unrealistic to hit 90-100 miles. Time will eventually tell what I do.

Week 1 Done

Today’s 1:15:00 training run completes week 1 of the free intermediate training plan I received from 80/20 Endurance. I got the plan when I registered for the 20 min Virtual Time Trial.

I knew going in this week was going to be a slight stretch as I was at 13.5 miles (2:49:00) last week and was expecting to run 18-20 miles (4:16:00) this week. While I would NEVER recommend that for a beginner. I felt I had enough base training to safely accomplish the planned workouts.

Another Treadmill Long Run (Sort of)

Just when you think this crazy Ohio winter weather is done, it strikes with another polar vortex. Today’s temperatures were in single digits again! I have no issues with running in the cold per se BUT I just don’t have the proper protection for the elements. That meant another long run on the treadmill, This time, I decided to drop in at the Moraine, OH Payne Recreation Center (PRC) .
